The University of Maryland offers the Science in the Evening program which was started in 1996 to serve the growing interest in life science and related careers.
If you are a career changer and need to work full-time while completing your premedical requirements then this is the best option for you.
The campus is located in College Park, MD which makes it very easy if you are commuting from either Baltimore or Washington, DC.
Additionally, because the courses are the same as those offered in the daytime, it is possible to transfer into the daytime program to take many additional upper-division science courses.
You will find your SIE courses to be small with about 50 to 60 students allowing for interaction at all levels with your peers and professors, which is rare for the daytime students at the University of Maryland.
Although, students are free to choose the courses which they want, you will not be left alone.
You can setup a personal advising session with the Director of SIE and his staff will be more than happy to help you reach your career and academic goals.
Spring semester: January 5th.
