Rosalind Franklin University Biomedical Science

Graduates of the Rosalind Franklin Master of Science in Biomedical Science program will be prepared to pursue a medical career. You will be assigned a faculty advisor and everything will be done to ensure your success.

This program begins in mid-August and ends in mid-May.

Focus

Since this is a graduate level program, it will be great for you if you need to enhance your academic record, but career-changers can also enroll.

Structure

Students will receive their M.S. in Biomedical Sciences and also have the ability to receive a certificate in one of four areas: Clinical Research, Healthcare Administration & Management (HCAM), Nutrition or Women’s Health.

Grading for this biomedical science program is conducted using the A/B/C scale and you will need to earn at least a 3.0 in your certificate coursework.

Eligibility

You must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. A requirement of the Rosalind Franklin Biomedical Science program is to have satisfactorily completed the full-year course sequence (including laboratory) of:
  • general chemistry
  • biology
  • organic chemistry
  • physics.

Admissions

You will be selected based on previous academic work, your preparation in the biological and physical sciences, grade point average, standardized test scores (such as DAT, MCAT, GRE) and letters of recommendation.

There are no interviews for this program.

To enhance your chances at admission you are encouraged to submit additional materials such as resumes, abstracts of research work or published papers, and any additional items which will be useful in evaluating your application.

Applications are due on June 15th. Applications are available beginning Oct. 15th of each year.
